Gap Analysis

How do you give marketers value and urgency for a problem they don't know they have?

About The Project

Limy AI, a B2B SaaS platform for AI search visibility, needed to show prospects a problem they couldn't see, since traditional analytics take time to become reliable. I designed a tool, from POC to production, giving an instant, reliable picture of any URL's performance in the agentic web, across discoverability, accessibility, and authority, with recommendations on what to do about it.

Challenge

From the POC, I wanted a low-friction action with design that felt analytically credible, since the ICP wasn't yet familiar with the gap itself.

The intake asks for only an email and a URL, since every extra field is a reason to stop.

Results take one to one and a half minutes, long enough to lose someone. Production also surfaced a real failure: the backend could hang for minutes with no signal at all.

I had no usage data to validate this. Early on I judged it by feel, testing placeholder versions myself.

Solution

A rotating carousel of real company data fills the wait instead of leaving it blank, reinforcing that there's something real behind the analysis. The progress bar climbs gradually rather than jumping to 100, closer to how progress feels than how it happens. A cutoff handles the failure case, telling the person to try again instead of waiting indefinitely.

Results read like a table and are color-coded, red, yellow, green, matching a format marketers and analysts already trust.

Three plain metrics, Discoverability, Accessibility, and Authority, turn one abstract score into something specific. A written recommendation and a list of real search prompts make it actionable, and a PDF export lets the person download and share the report.
